Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP)

Parents, please review the grade level and the time slot of the afterschool class before registering your student.

If your student’s first session begins AFTER 2:30 PM it will require your student to be picked up from school and then returned to school for their scheduled ELOP class, unless your student is enrolled in the regular P.O.W.E.R. program.

  • AR Book Club

    Join us for some incredible adventures in reading! You will be able to read with the teacher, a partner, or on your own! There will be books available as well as books on MyOn or Epic! Plus some great prizes for reaching your reading goal!

  • CRICUT BEGINNERS

    Add a touch of personalization to items using the Cricut machine. Learn the basics of using Cricut for personalization.

    In this course you will be making pottery pieces and creating sculptures using clay.

  • Mexican Folkloric Dance

    Your child will learn and perform two dances this session. The first performance will focus on dances from Veracruz, while the second performance will focus on Coco inspired dances.

  • Lego Spike Robotics

    The students will create, build and code robots and machines using Lego Spike and STEAM Science Kits.

    It's an exciting hands-on solution that uses playful learning experiences to engage students in STEAM learning, putting them on the path to becoming resilient, independent thinkers.

  • Little Robotics Club

    Hello and welcome to the Little Robotics Club! Our robotics club is all about coding and commanding robots using LEGO products. By learning to program and control robots, students will explore the exciting world of science and gain valuable skills for life beyond the classroom.     Beaded Pens & Crafts: We will make fun and creative pens with beads. Students will be able to choose from a variety of beads size, colors, patterns, shapes, cute animals, and cartoon characters such as Disney and Marvel characters. In addition, we will make crafts with pens and pencils by using beads, feathers, and flowers.We will also do crafts with beads such as bracelets and keychains.

  • Let's Get Wild with GATE!

    Hey there, families! Get ready for an amazing adventure through the wild as the GATE program at Fremont School invites you to learn all about the incredible animals in the zoo. GATE kicks off on December 2, 2024. Each class will be a journey through a different animal kingdom, and students will even get to choose their favorite animals for a special GATE festival project. GATE Session 3 will take place every Monday and Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Let's walk on the wild side with GATE!
